My son eagerly anticipated this set and the minute it was delivered he started putting it together only to discover that a pretty critical piece was missing from the set. We went online to see what Lego had to say. While Lego shipped the missing piece free of charge, there was no move to get it to us any faster than standard delivery via USPS. It took several weeks to get here. What a disappointment for a boy who had saved his allowance and gift money for weeks to get this!

It is easier to get into Fort Knox than it is to unfasten this doll from its overkill packaging. The twist ties left indentations embedded in the ankles. So much tape, rubberbands and sewn threads that secure the doll…. what I did not appreciate was that the eye mask was STITCHED INTO THE FOREHEAD and when I removed the eye mask from the dolls head, the stitching left two holes in her forehead. It wasn’t even in the hairline. Just the viewable skin area above her eyes.

The doll is cute, her outfit is stunning, and the accessories are really cool, but the packaging… yuck.

My 6 year old received this as a gift – she has many Barbie’s and accessories – but this was one of her favorite toys this holiday season. She loves having Barbie cook on the TV set – it really has sparked her imagination as she creates new and inventive recipes for Barbie to make. The product itself is well constructed and easy to assemble. Would definitely recommend this for any child into Barbie.

I bought this toy for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas. It comes with the doll, refridgerator and oven and the counter with the stove and sink and lots of other small tiny pieces. The doll is pretty and dressed cute. My daughter thinks its fun, but she plays with her other Barbies too when she plays with this set since it only comes with 1 doll and she needs an audience when Barbie is on tv. The toy is fun, but it doesn’t keep my child’s attention more than 15 min or so. It can be a great toy to any child who wants to be a chef or be on tv when they grow up. As far as durability, the counter holds up the lights and that part is flimsy and could break if bent the wrong way. Overall, its a pretty good toy.
